Live

Glowtray product showcase with a warm, dark editorial design and a preview of its Windows tray-app panel
Product website captured 13 October 2026; static capture. The interactive lighting demos on the website are simulated, and panel screenshots use illustrative data.

Problem

Everyday desk lighting should be easy to adjust from a PC without reaching for a phone or opening a full control dashboard.

Architecture

The desktop app uses Python, bleak for direct Bluetooth LE control, pywebview for its compact panel and pystray for the tray icon. The separate product website is static HTML, CSS and JavaScript hosted on Vercel; its explanatory controls only change the browser demo.

Challenge

Explaining a small desktop tool through clear, tactile interactions while distinguishing simulated product demonstrations from a real Windows and Bluetooth session.

Contribution

Created the product showcase, an interactive scene and brightness preview, PC-lock and screen-matching demonstrations, a four-tab interface explorer and responsive, keyboard-accessible motion behavior.

Constraints

Live refers to the product showcase. Website controls are simulated and do not connect to a bulb or capture the visitor's screen. The app targets selected direct-Bluetooth Hue lights, not Hue Bridge-only, other-brand, Matter or Wi-Fi devices; capabilities depend on the bulb. Energy and cost statistics are estimates, not meter readings.

Result and evidence

The showcase is available at glowtray.tolgaugur.dev with verified HTTPS, matching published assets and working browser demonstrations. It introduces the app and links to its public source and Windows release page; frontend verification is not hardware or executable certification.
